Financial Operations - Junior

Title: Member Debt Representative Client: Financial Services Company Location: ONSITE in Phoenix, AZ 85085 Duration: 1 year contract / CTH Shift: 8 hour shift between 9 am-7pm CST *New hires will be mandatory Saturdays with Friday off* Pay: $20/hour Overview: Responsible for understanding the members' needs and delivering personalized solutions and education that will improve their overall financial security. In addition, this role protects the financial interests of the client by communicating with members, non-members and/or external third parties to collect and resolve delinquent accounts. Accounts are handled and worked in accordance with operational standards. Responsibilities: Through 100% phone based interactions, responsible for understanding the members' needs and delivering personalized solutions and education that will improve the members overall financial security. Service both inbound and outbound phone calls across all client product lines through automated and manual outbound dialing in an attempt to collect payment and/or arrange for payments, utilizing effective telephone collection techniques and principles while meeting call service levels. Under close supervision, performs individual member needs assessment to quickly determine the members reason for delinquency and provide customized solutions and advice to improve their financial security. With close supervision, negotiates mutually satisfactory payment arrangements within defined guidelines. Follows all applicable local, state, and national laws and regulations surrounding the collection industry. Under close supervision, completes required account verification and account maintenance. Documents all pertinent customer contact information and updates collection attempts/call results into the appropriate database. The agent will have to work through sensitive issues and sensitive financial situations. Qualifications: Previous call center experience - fielding both inbound/outbound calls Comfortable with 100-150 calls/day with 4-6 people talked to per hour Previous consumer collections experience Able to handle emotions and help create an outcome Excel, Word, Auto-dialer experience preferred Must be open to working Saturdays Must be open to working onsite at office location EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
