Geriatrician Opportunity

The Department of Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Geriatrician to join our Section of Community Geriatrics. Our Community Geriatrics faculty plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to older adults in the Charleston area, serving patients both in outpatient offices and in Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs). Over the past decade, we have built strong partnerships with several CCRCs across the greater Charleston region and continue to expand and strengthen these relationships. This primarily clinical position involves providing care, as well as overseeing and directing care, within CCRCs. Depending on individual interests, there are opportunities to develop an outpatient geriatric primary care and referral practice, as well as to participate in inpatient care alongside department faculty. The Section of Community Geriatrics coordinates educational activities in partnership with the Department of Internal Medicine's ACGME-accredited Geriatrics Fellowship Program, which trains two fellows each year.
