UESC Project Services Manager

MD Energy Advisors is seeking a UESC Project Services Manager to lead complex energy efficiency and renewable energy projects delivered through Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESCs) and Energy Service Companies (ESCOs). This individual will be responsible for the full lifecycle of project execution across federal, utility, and commercial clients. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

This is a remote position with required travel for site assessments, client meetings, and internal coordination.

Primary Responsibilities

Project Management Lead and manage projects from initiation through closeout. Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets in coordination with utilities, federal clients, internal teams, and subcontractors. Monitor project milestones and performance metrics; provide timely progress reports to all stakeholders. Ensure compliance with UESC guidelines, federal energy mandates, utility requirements, and relevant commercial building standards. Maintain all required documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans, and project closeout packages. Support the development and refinement of UESC and other utility-sponsored energy programs. Assist Commercial Solutions team with project management as needed Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for utility, federal, and commercial clients throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively identify client needs and offer additional energy efficiency solutions as appropriate. Conduct regular status calls and in-person meetings to track progress, gather feedback, and address any concerns. Collaborate with internal sales and development teams to grow existing accounts. Support the growth and expansion of the additional UESC programs. Contribute to the expansion of energy program offerings across commercial and institutional sectors. On-Site Assessments & Travel

Perform site visits to validate existing conditions, support audits and retro-commissioning evaluations, and inspect completed work. Support technical presentations and project reviews with clients and utility partners. Participate in internal team meetings, trainings, and strategic planning sessions. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex energy projects, preferably within federal or utility frameworks. Familiarity with UESC processes, federal energy goals, and project financing mechanisms. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional organizational skills. Strong understanding of energy efficiency measures, renewable energy systems, and benchmarking tools. Proficient in project management software and energy analytics platforms. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%. Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Experience working directly with utility companies and federal agencies on UESC or ESPC projects. Knowledge of utility rebate programs, energy codes, and federal sustainability requirements. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and platforms such as Energy Star Portfolio Manager or EnergyCAP. LEED, WELL, or other sustainability credentials Benefits:
