Advanced Practice Provider - Clinical Audiologist

Clinical audiologist will be expected to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for patients that may be unique to an academic medical center with an active otology/neurotology practice; hearing aid evaluation, programming, fitting, repair, follow-up and patient management; and comprehensive cochlear implant evaluation, programming, follow-up and patient management. Previous medical center experience and/or cochlear implant experience is preferred. Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Provides routine and specialized auditory assessment of patients referred to the Audiology Division and/or Vestibular & Balance Center by utilizing both behavioral and electrophysiological measures. Assesses patients' candidacy for amplification, fits and dispenses hearing aids or other assistive listening devices. Counsels patients and their families in the use of the equipment. Consistently maintains records on all patients utilizing documentation guidelines as outlined by departmental policies and procedures. Provides supervision of graduate Audiology students. Participates in clinical research and departmental QI plan. Maintains current state licensure and national certification. Provides in-service training for audiologists and other health care professionals. Organizational Duties: Communicates appropriately using good interpersonal skills. Serves, manages and supports internal and external customers. Participates in performance improvement activities. Participates as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities. Position Compensation Range: $63,939.20 - $102,294.40 Annual Minimum Requirements: Education: Master's Degree in Audiology (minimum) Experience: 1 Year Licensure: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Skills: Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling. Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
