Operations Supervisor
The Operations Supervisor leads the Security and Front Desk teams at Symphony Honolulu, overseeing day-to-day building security and resident services. This role is critical for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment by supervising Residential Advisors and ensuring consistent shift coverage to support 24/7 operations. Essential Job Duties Supervise and lead the Security team and Front Desk Residential Advisors, ensuring professional, friendly, and effective service at all times. Manage scheduling and proactively find shift coverage to maintain full staff presence across evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays. Provide backup and fill in shifts as needed to guarantee seamless security and front desk operations. Enforce Symphony Honolulu House Rules and community standards consistently and fairly. Conduct regular facility inspections, monitor building security systems (access control, cameras, EMS, fire systems), and enforce safety protocols. Handle tenant and visitor concerns with professionalism, working to resolve issues promptly. Train, evaluate, and coach security and front desk staff to uphold high standards of service and safety. Compile and maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation to support building management and regulatory compliance. Coordinate with General Manager, property staff, and external agencies including law enforcement and emergency responders. Oversee key control systems and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations related to building operations. Supervision Exercised: Exercises indirect supervision of all subordinate security personnel. Supervision Received: Receives direct supervision from the Operations Coordinator and General Manager. Salary Range $23 per hour Minimum Qualifications Experience: One (1) year experience as an Operations Supervisor in a hotel, condominium or apartment facility involving supervision of a Security Department. Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of building security access, camera EMS and fire systems; basic computer literacy. Working knowledge of basic accounting procedures. Education/Training: State Guard Card required; Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) accreditation preferred; training in Basic CPR and First-Aid; college degree desirable.
