Nuclear Engineer
Job#: 2080809 Position: Nuclear Engineer Primary Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in support of nuclear plant operations. Perform advanced engineering tasks and special projects requiring: Original concepts High-level experience and expertise Work independently with minimal supervision. Act as a consultant to supervisory staff. Apply nuclear industry standards and regulations to new and unique situations. Facilitate team-based problem solving, including: Conflict resolution Ensuring project progress Provide backup support for supervisory roles. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (may substitute for degree). Minimum of 12 years of engineering or related experience. Role Focus: Capital Projects Electrical Engineering Key Responsibilities: Serve as technical liaison with engineering firms on project development. Prepare and review engineering documents in compliance with: Industry standards Regulatory requirements (e.g., 10CFR50.59) Ensure adherence to the industry-standard design process. Preferred Knowledge & Experience: Familiarity with: Ladder logic Analog/digital systems NSCA/safe shutdown analysis Power systems analysis Experience with computational tools such as: ETAP EDISON Prior experience as: Cognizant engineer Engineering project manager (preferred but not required) Apex Benefits Overview: Apex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
