ABOUT THE POSITION
The House Manager position is a frontline customer service position providing first-rate experiences to patrons attending events. House Managers work as part of the event team to ensure the successful event execution per policies, guidelines, and venue management best practices. The House Manager position contributes to ensuring the health and safety of patrons, staff, and the facility. The position provides leadership for the usher staff during events. Reports to the Customer Experience Director. COVID vaccination and a commitment to COVID-safe practices are required. PEOPLE, PLACES, and THINGS
Assists with venue preparation by conducting health and safety checks of the venue Attends pre-event meetings to obtain event specific information Leads assigned ushers in the execution of event specific details and venue preparation Collaborates with other team members to accomplish tasks Assists with the enforcement of company policies, with a focus on safety and customer service Attends meetings and job trainings as assigned Provides optimal assistance to patrons in an emergency or evacuation. Responds quickly and courteously to patrons' needs, questions, comments, or concerns with answers and/or action Accurately completes paperwork, such as house reports, safety checklists, lost and found logs, and incident reports Provides accurate information to patrons regarding venue logistics (i.e. location of ticket office, restrooms, phones, concessions, etc.), details about the event, general building history, etc. Positively accepts and fulfills other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
The ideal candidate enjoys working with public and providing excellent customer service Knowledge of the arts and entertainment industry Demonstrated experience for problem solving while following established guidelines Ability to maintain composure under stress and multitask COMPETENCIES
Must be able to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays. House Managers are required to work a minimum of 2 events/month and must have at least 4 show weekend days of availability/month (Saturday & Sunday) Must be capable of insuring that all laws, building codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management and emergency procedures are followed. Position is based in San Antonio, Texas.
