Budget Analyst
Title: Budget Analyst Agency: VP OF ADMIN AND FINANCE Location: Norfolk, VA FLSA: Non-Exempt Full Time or Part Time: Full Time Job Description: To assist with managing, analyzing and reporting on the University's personnel and operating budgets. May also provide general office support to the OBFP and assist with the daily transactional workload as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Considerable knowledge of financial policies, practices, and procedures. Considerable knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Considerable skills in Microsoft suite, specifically word, database, and spreadsheet programs. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management, members of the campus community, and other state agencies. Demonstrated ability to apply and adapt accounting principles and methods to a variety of agency fiscal needs. Demonstrated ability to assemble and analyze large data sets in order to prepare clear and concise financial reports and recommendations for various levels of management.
