POSITION:

Welder 2nd Shift LOCATION: Jupiter, FL STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: Set-up and installation of welding equipment Execution of welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specification Use of hand tools to

assemble/disassemble

and prep/blend welds. Quality check of the performed work before operation step confirmation Preparation/confirmation

of the required quality documentation Reporting of used production time per production step Setting up welding parameters, selects consumable materials, and prepares work piece for new welding process trials together with engineering staff Designs and fabricates welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as required Reporting of technical deviations with the Non-Conformance Reporting System (NCR) Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and tools Keeping the working environment and machines in a clean and proper condition Following Environmental Health and Safety regulations Continually improving operations and the working environment Other tasks assigned by production manager or supervisor MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education & Training

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Certified in welding (TIG & MIG) or equivalent years of experience. Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix Skills/Experience 3+ years of experience with TIG welding 3+ years of experience in a production or maintenance environment 1+ years of experience with welding of Ni-base or Ni-Cr alloys Experienced in carrying out visual inspections of welds Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes Physical Requirements Stooping/Crouching.

Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of time Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another. Pushing & Pulling Lifting up to 50 lbs. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. May require travel (air & ground) with short notice.
