Design Team Leader
is responsible for leading and facilitating a design team, coordinating engineering efforts on projects, and ensuring schedule conformance, quality output, and customer satisfaction. This is a
Monday-Friday, first shift
position based in our office at the High Concrete Plant in Denver, PA. Essential Job Functions:
Develop schedules and communicate with project management and customers to ensure project requirements and schedules are met. Manage and oversee Engineers, Drafters, and Checkers, including administrative responsibilities. Lead the development of engineering schedules supporting production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and conformance to contract documents. Ensure compliance with contractual design obligations and maintain a Submittal Schedule for timely submissions and approvals. Oversee the development of erection drawings, ensuring they are consistent with contract documents and optimized for manufacturing and erection. Monitor schedule conformance for all engineering and production releases. Coordinate activities of engineering subcontractors, including scheduling and oversight. Identify and quantify design scope changes in collaboration with project management. Assist in information gathering during the design phase, including RFIs. Manage design closeout functions, including finalizing as-built drawings and archiving documentation. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. At least four years of experience in engineering design or precast construction. Supervisory experience preferred. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Working for High Concrete Group LLC
