Position Overview This position reports to the
Account Manager .
In this role, you will implement the global solutions strategy to drive increased sales, market share, and customer satisfaction in the assigned sub-segment. The Key Account Manager will collaborate with the Electrification local marketing and sales teams and global marketing and sales organizations across all ABB businesses and EL Business Lines.
The 'Solutions' approach to account management applies to industries with significant potential to address a wider ABB portfolio from multiple businesses through closer alignment.
The work model for this role is:
Remote .
This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division.
Main Responsibilities
Generate new business, increase ABB market share, and exceed sales targets with profitable growth for the ABB Group Data Center portfolio in the assigned sub-segment.
Manage and take ownership of assigned customers for all product lines, including orders, forecasting, and issue resolution.
Engage with colleagues, including global, regional, and country segment leads, to develop and deliver action plans that secure new and existing opportunities.
Collaborate with Product Managers, hold training seminars, and organize events to promote ABB Solutions in the assigned sub-segment through internal sales, channel partners, consultants, contractors, OEMs, and end-users.
Qualifications
4-year university degree in an engineering discipline or relevant experience.
5+ years experience working with relevant consultants, contractors, distributors, and industry users at a senior level in data centers, critical power, power quality, or related industries.
Experience in consultative technical sales with a sales cycle of over 12 months.
Attention to detail, proactive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and results-oriented mindset.
Willingness to travel within the United States and overseas approximately 50% of the time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
