General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-driven Additive Manufacturing (AM) Project Manager in our AM department located in Poway, CA. This position will support the growth of AM at GA-ASI by managing projects related to new AM applications, IRAD, process improvement, and production. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders across the company and external partners, providing AM expertise, and driving projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities
Develop and execute AM technical project scope, plan, schedule, and budget. Support development and communication of AM business trade studies. Serve as the primary point of contact for AM projects, liaising with stakeholders and teams. Manage project schedules and budgets. Coordinate communication and task execution among project stakeholders. Work with external suppliers and partners as needed. Develop project tracking metrics and tools for reporting. Provide knowledge support on AM technologies and develop best practices. Promote AM knowledge transfer within the company. Maintain and communicate AM application library. Support process improvements in AM manufacturing. Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams. Participate in R&D projects and support new application development. Assess and support new applications with Design for AM (DfAM). Track project budgets and spending. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, with 11+ years of experience, including 5+ years in project management. Equivalent experience may suffice. Proven skills in technical/engineering project management with multiple stakeholders. Basic knowledge of AM technologies such as FDM, SLS, LPBF, etc. Experience in aerospace or defense industries is highly valued. Knowledge of CAD, manufacturing workflows, and quality inspection methods. Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and Visio; experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and in teams, with a self-driven attitude. Willingness to travel and obtain/maintain DoD Security clearance. Salary range: $100,290 - $183,098 Additional Details
