Our Project Managers are experienced in commercial HVAC and Mechanical Construction and like the challenge of unique designs, projects, and deadlines. You will be able to run jobs big and small, coordinating multiple jobs simultaneously, while also providing leadership to project engineers and partnering with our field staff to ensure flawless project delivery. You will also manage project milestones, identifying and coordinating resource requirements. One of the most important skill sets you possess is the ability to exercise a high level of judgment and work autonomously within company processes. You are willing to learn the Southland way of doing work and are eager to learn from others at all levels of the organization. The experience you have allows you to have a short learning curve but does not present a barrier to learning new things. What you’ll do: Develop client relations by providing project status updates to clients and leadership. Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for projects. Participate in project meetings with internal departments. Partner with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of projects are on schedule. Develop budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, and other reports as necessary. Delegate work and serve as a mentor to Project Engineers. Provide coaching and performance feedback as necessary. What you’ll need to be successful: Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience. Minimum 5-7 years' experience. Proven ability to manage small teams. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Excellent project management skills. Experience managing subcontractors. Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP, and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
