Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus and Sign-on bonus Direct message the job poster from Owen Thomas Group Working closely with a client who are actively expanding their roadway/transportation division. They have offices nationally and are keen on further developing the NC offices. The firm is over 300 employees and a part of a larger conglomerate as well. We are specifically looking for those with NCDOT and/or municipal experience. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate a portfolio of transportation infrastructure initiatives, with a focus on roadway design and execution. Contribute to business development by crafting strategic proposals and tailored marketing materials to grow the roadway sector in key regions. Guide, coach, and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering their professional development. Deliver high-quality project work within the expectations and deadlines set by senior leadership. Exhibit strong leadership across all facets of the role while consistently performing at an advanced technical level. Perform quality assurance reviews to maintain the integrity and precision of project deliverables. Organize and lead in-house training and skill-building efforts for team members. Operate independently without the need for detailed technical supervision. Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline. 10–15+ years of increasing responsibility in the engineering field, particularly in transportation or roadway projects. Demonstrated success managing transportation projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and/or local municipalities across the state. Proven ability to manage all aspects of project delivery, including budgets, schedules, staff oversight, and direct communication with clients. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across clients, peers, and internal teams.
