Corporate Environmental Sustainability Manager

for our

Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Decatur, AL, USA, or Amesbury, MA, USA

location. Join Hexcel as a Corporate Environmental Sustainability Manager, where you’ll lead and support global EHS sustainability initiatives, focusing on operations. Reporting to the Corporate Director, Environmental Affairs, you’ll manage and evaluate environmental data (GHG emissions, waste, water, energy), ensure compliance with sustainability reporting (CSRD, CDP, EcoVadis, TCFD), and drive continuous improvement in reducing GHG emissions, waste, and water use. Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with site teams to estimate GHG emissions, waste, water, and other sustainability metrics. Manage sustainability data collection and reporting for GHG Scopes 1, 2, 3, waste, and water.

Develop technical content and best practice tools for sustainability data collection and communicate with senior leadership.

Drive a world-class sustainability culture by working with various departments to improve reporting, risk mitigation, and communication.

Monitor and communicate evolving sustainability regulations and their impact on operations.

Lead or support sustainability initiatives and disclosures to third parties like CDP, EcoVadis, and TCFD.

Support operational compliance and continuous improvement projects to reduce energy, GHG emissions, water use, and waste. Support ISO 14001 and 50001 certifications and lead Scope 3 roadmap and lifecycle analysis projects.

Oversee strategic SBTi process and third-party validation of data, and develop new sustainability targets, including net zero ambitions.

Prepare and deliver data summaries and presentations on sustainability performance and compliance to stakeholders.

Participate in trade associations and mentor site EHS staff to foster a strong global sustainability culture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental engineering or science, environmental studies, or equivalent technical degree.

7+ years of experience leading and supporting corporate sustainability programs (e.g., carbon accounting, Scope 1, 2, 3 reporting/validation, waste reduction, water stewardship) and environmental sustainability compliance.

Experience managing environmental sustainability data (e.g., Scopes 1, 2, 3 emissions, waste, water consumption).

Ability to lead and manage multiple complex technical projects/tasks.

At least three years of experience in voluntary disclosures, including CDP, EcoVadis, TCFD, etc. Experience or knowledge in operational EHS is preferred.

Proficient in data management, mathematical computations, interpreting environmental information, and understanding chemistry and physics principles related to environmental engineering processes for sustainability.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and highly effective communication skills for engaging with global audiences at various organizational levels.

Ability to work independently, think strategically, and produce optimal results.

A self-motivated, driven team player capable of managing multiple tasks and collaborating effectively in a multinational environment.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%, including global travel without restrictions.
