Position Overview
This full-time traveling assignment supports Data Center and EV projects across the United States. The role reports to our Global Critical Facilities (TECH) vertical. Prior experience in data centers or advanced technology projects is strongly preferred. Position Description
Manage end-to-end Commissioning processes for new or retrofit facilities, ensuring project requirements are met and operations verified in alignment with owner specifications. Develop and coordinate site-specific activities as part of the Quality Control plan. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Oversee commissioning activities during all project phases for new and retrofit facilities. Build collaborative relationships with architects, engineers, trade partners, and operations teams to ensure compliant project delivery. Implement policies supporting project schedule, contractual obligations, and compliance. Coordinate with Quality Control and MEP teams to ensure successful completion of commissioning activities. Understand major milestones, contractual obligations, and commissioning plans created by third-party agents. Manage commissioning and QC plans for contractual turnovers. Define on-site resource requirements and develop detailed start-up and commissioning schedules. Collaborate with equipment vendors and manage adherence to QC plans. Facilitate meetings and contribute to development of project-specific QC plans and online databases. Oversee development of dashboards and review weekly trends for issue resolution. Support pre-installation meetings and establish punch list prevention plans. Coordinate third-party testing, inspections, and analyze results. Participate in onboarding new project staff, trade partners, and vendors. Perform equipment delivery inspections to confirm compliance. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with at least 12 years of general construction experience in MEP roles, including professional engineering or trade-specific work. Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience bridging field and engineering responsibilities. Knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and quality management; USACE certification is a plus. ASHRAE commissioning certification or in-depth understanding of ASHRAE processes. Experience with Building Management Systems. Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications. Willingness to travel as required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 45 pounds. Frequent computer use and site mobility are required. Work Environment
