The Application System Analyst II serves as a liaison between system end-users (customers), operational leaders, support resources, and vendors to design, build, and optimize applications efficiently. They provide application support and work closely with the Service Desk to respond to service requests. The role requires analyzing business issues and workflows, applying application knowledge to meet organizational needs, and collaborating on project implementation of medium to high complexity activities. The analyst must possess healthcare system expertise, be self-motivated, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities
Analyze, develop, test, document, support, and optimize applications and business processes. Collaborate across teams, propose practical solutions, and manage assigned tasks. Support projects with subject matter expertise, improve application knowledge, and guide team members. Identify opportunities to enhance usability and efficiency, and report on project status. Conduct process and requirement analysis, including process mapping and stakeholder analysis. Explain complex design and configuration issues to end users and stakeholders. Participate in strategy discussions and facilitate decision-making. Adhere to system configuration and change management standards. Develop technical proficiency in application design and configuration. Build strong relationships with end users and business partners. Coordinate code changes with vendors and collaborate with technical teams to resolve infrastructure issues. Share industry best practices and increase technical knowledge. Serve as liaison among business operations, IT, users, and vendors. Follow change management processes and document solutions clearly. Proactively troubleshoot incidents and requests, ensuring high-quality work. Manage medium complexity projects, evaluate new application releases, and complete required training. Support department goals and escalate issues as needed. Travel and work additional hours during critical periods, as required. Assist in training users and team members, and pursue opportunities for improvement. Minimum Requirements
Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred, in healthcare, business, or information systems. Proficiency in data presentation, change management, problem-solving, multitasking, and Microsoft Office. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and 3+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in healthcare or information systems. Ability to resolve incidents independently, develop new functionalities, and work collaboratively. Detailed healthcare knowledge and systems expertise. Decision-making skills for routine cases and minimal supervision. Mentoring and training abilities; certifications in relevant areas are preferred. Epic module proficiency or certification within 6 months, with ongoing training required. Work Type
