RWE Clean Energy is hiring a
Lead Compliance Analyst
who will be responsible for providing leadership, independent compliance oversight, guidance, and direction to maintain compliance with the applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Operations and Planning Standards to support the reliability of the Bulk Electric System. This role will work with minimal supervision and limited guidance when managing complex projects and solutions that support the internal compliance program. This position is a key member of the Asset Management and Compliance team within RWE Clean Energy! Responsibilities: Demonstrate in-depth understanding of applicable NERC Operations and Planning Standards and working knowledge of how the company meets, maintains, and monitors compliance Facilitate periodic internal compliance assessments and spot checks on applicable NERC Standards Participate in industry focus groups and conferences to share information and stay abreast of the ever changing NERC compliance landscape Identifies, resolves and escalates, as needed, more complex issues or concerns Lead mock audits or gap assessments- to ensure compliance with the applicable NERC Standards Develops and maintains internal controls and processes to support the compliance program Develops measures to identify areas for process improvements and works with the team for implementation Provides direction and guidance to the team Assist in developing responses to legal and regulatory .compliance request Provides consultation, interpretation, and implementation of regulatory and reliability requirements Prepares, reviews, or submits materials for Audits, Self-Certifications, Self-Reports, Mitigation Plans, and Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets Serves as an interface or primary point of contact between the Regulatory Compliance Department and internal stakeholders to support roles and responsibilities to meet and maintain compliance Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum of 6 years of experience in compliance, legal or regulatory environment applicable to power generation or related field Minimum of 4 years of experience in NERC compliance Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple activities, depending on the team and the business Experience in implementing and/or maintaining a NERC compliance program Highly motivated self-starter willing to take on new challenges Ability to build strong relationships Excellent writing and communication skills Experienced in Excel, SharePoint, database tools or compliance monitoring programs Experience with audits, internal controls, and industry best practices Experience with NERC and Regional portal administration applications A combination of education, certifications and experience will also be considered
