Title:Quality Control Manager Reports To: President/Owner Summary : This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control within the manufacturing facility, including developing and implementing quality assurance programs, lead and participate in internal/external inspections and audits. Ensure all finished products and raw material meet regulatory and customer requirements. Lead a team of quality technicians. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Quality Control: Direct and oversee
all quality control activities within the manufacturing facility, develop and maintain QA procedures including raw material inspections, in-process checks, and finished product inspections. Enforces plant GMP’s Maintain
accurate and up-to-date records of all quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and audit findings. Develops plant quality and sanitation procedures and protocol. Execute
daily Vinegar and Mustard Assembly builds for approved products. Develop and Maintain
up to date finished product specifications. Conduct
regular internal audits and inspections of production facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Investigate and resolve
quality issues, including customer complaints, product defects, and deviations from specifications. Implement and maintain
effective corrective and preventive action (CAPA) systems to address and prevent the recurrence of quality issues. Collaborate
with Food Safety, Environment& Compliance manager to deliver comprehensive training programs for all employees on quality standards, food safety regulations, and good manufacturing practices. Assists
with mock recalls/ ingredient trace activities. Responsibl e for Product Hold & Releases. Stay abreast
of the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in food safety and quality management. Represent
the company in interactions with regulatory agencies (e.g., FDA, USDA) and external auditors. Conduct
risk assessments and develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential food safety hazards. Promote
a strong culture of quality and food safety throughout the organization. Safety Compliance: Ensure the operation of a clean and safe environment as mandated by Old Dutch Vinegar& Mustard, Good Manufacturing Practices, state and Federal Laws. Participate in Monthly Internal audits (inspections). Responsible for Food Safety, Food Quality and SQF program requirements. Updating and communication of all safety data sheets (SDS) as required by the written communication laws of OSHA and the state. HACCP Duties as assigned. HACCP trained and an active Team member. Follows all program guidelines for Halal and Kosher certifications. Personal: Demonstrated leadership experience in a growing and dynamic, multi-million-dollar manufacturing environment. Superior attention to detail with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to quickly determine the root cause of issues and develop and implement corrective actions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain positive working relationships with all levels of management and employees. Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of ERP software (NetSuite Preferred), and the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to create and professionally generate production metrics and management reports. Proactive, action oriented and self-directed work style, results oriented. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF). Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement methodologies. Education/Experience : Candidates must have at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in one of the following fields: Food Sciences, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Five plus (5+) years of progressively responsible production management experience in a manufacturing environment; hands-on experience with all essential duties. Seniority level
