Kleinfelder is seeking a Southern California Transportation Leader.

We are excited to present a challenging career opportunity for an accomplished and energetic professional to join our team as a Transportation Leader for Kleinfelder’s Southern California Area. This role will help shape Kleinfelder’s future in this booming infrastructure market. This experienced professional will foster relationships with top transportation clients and teaming partners, work closely with our local operations in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire, and will lead the development of client-centric delivery teams that will position us for extraordinary growth into the future. Role Overview

The successful candidate will be able to: Shape the growth strategy for Kleinfelder’s Southern California Area Transportation. Drive sales from targeted clients in transportation, aviation, and infrastructure markets. Understand clients’ needs and develop innovative, value-added, and cost-effective solutions to exceed their expectations. Coordinate project delivery and proposal teams with clear communication regarding client requirements and differentiation strategies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and teaming partners, providing engineering, construction, and consulting services in a trusted advisory role. Proactively network to understand market trends, needs, and future opportunities that create a return on investment. Work in a matrixed environment, interacting with business development and operations teams, and maintaining close communication with clients to represent their needs effectively. The Transportation Leader will focus on advancing relationships with transportation clients across surface transportation, aviation, ports/harbors, and transit sectors, offering a comprehensive suite of services. They will understand client business needs to develop innovative solutions and coordinate project delivery with clear communication. We seek a professional with proven existing relationships, working toward $20 million+ in business, in areas such as transportation design, bridge engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, materials testing, quality assurance, or construction management. Experience & Academic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. Minimum 9-12 years of progressive experience in transportation infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, rail/transit, aviation, ports/harbors). 10 years of direct interaction with Southern California project stakeholders (DOTs, municipalities, engineering firms, contractors). Management experience of 6-7 years desired. Supervisory/management experience of 5-6 years desired. Competencies & Skills
