What’s yours? Position Overview This role is ideal for a goal-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, progressive manufacturing environment of 150+ team members. The successful candidate will excel at building strong relationships across all levels, possess deep knowledge of talent management and HR practices, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills. They will partner with leadership to drive employee engagement and performance, working closely with various business stakeholders. Key to this role is the ability to influence others, confidently represent employee and business interests, and naturally motivate and inspire teams. This position is based at the Mermet facility in Cowpens, South Carolina, and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources in Atlanta, GA. What you'll do Partners with site leadership to enhance performance through HR expertise, business insight, and change management. Resolves challenges and sensitive HR issues while delivering effective, policy-aligned solutions. Uses metrics and benchmarking to assess HR effectiveness. Partners with leaders to align workforce plans with business strategy, reducing staffing cycle time by 45 days and targeting turnover below 10%. Leads annual 360 and Organizational Development Reviews, creating feedback-driven action plans to support employee growth and succession planning. Oversee the Talent Management Program, including high-performer acquisition, development, recognition, retention, and succession planning. Identifies skill gaps and delivers targeted training for all employee levels, promoting development and operational excellence. Partners with the Talent Acquisition team to oversee onboarding activities and coordinate job and wage reviews as needed. Leads positive employee relations and fosters an engaged, values-driven culture focused on respect, trust, teamwork, and excellence. Partners with leaders to enhance performance, capability, and productivity. Manages employee feedback programs (e.g., roundtables, stay/exit interviews), identifies morale and productivity issues, and develops solutions. Provides guidance on HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment and consistency. Supports leaders with performance management, including coaching, conflict resolution, career development, and disciplinary actions. Collaborates with HRBPs across Hunter Douglas to share best practices and provides HR support to Mermet’s warping division in Wellford, SC. Any other HR Related Duties as assigned. Who you are Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates Degree or similar education accepted SHRM-SCP or SPHR highly desired 3–6 years of progressive experience as an HR Business Partner. Proven HR leadership and business acumen, ideally within operations. Skilled at influencing and collaborating in fast-paced settings. Hands-on approach with a strong understanding of operations and a track record of solving business challenges through strategic HR support. Results-driven, proactive, and solution-oriented self-starter. Solid experience in recruitment, onboarding, retention, and reducing turnover. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels. Effective in employee relations, conflict resolution, and developing mutually beneficial solutions. In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
