BCG Attorney Search
A law firm is actively seeking an accomplished legal professional with a deep understanding of employee benefits law to join their dynamic legal team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to counsel a diverse clientele on a broad spectrum of benefits-related matters while working in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Although the preferred location is onsite at the firm’s Fort Wayne, Indiana, office, there is potential for a hybrid work arrangement for qualified candidates.
Position Highlights:
Provide strategic legal counsel
to clients regarding various employee benefits programs, including retirement plans (401(k), pension), health and welfare plans, and executive compensation packages. Interpret and apply regulatory frameworks
such as the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Internal Revenue Code (IRC), and other pertinent laws governing benefits and compensation. Draft, revise, and analyze critical documentation , including plan descriptions, governance materials, and compliance filings. Serve as a liaison
between clients and federal agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Department of Labor (DOL), and other relevant regulators, managing inquiries, audits, and compliance matters. Core Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD)
earned from a recognized, accredited institution of legal education. A
solid foundation in ERISA law
and related federal statutes, including the Internal Revenue Code. At least
four (4) years of focused experience
practicing within the realm of employee benefits law or a closely related field. Exceptional communication abilities , both written and verbal, capable of explaining complex legal concepts to a non-legal audience. Demonstrated
capacity for independent work
and collaboration within cross-functional teams. Proven
organizational aptitude , with strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Preferred Attributes:
Prior experience representing clients during
regulatory audits or investigations . Familiarity with
emerging trends
in benefits compliance, executive compensation, and health care reform. Compensation and Perks:
