BCG Attorney Search
A law firm seeks a skilled Estate Planning Attorney in Portland, OR, and Vancouver, WA. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, including drafting wills and trusts, administering estates, and advising on tax strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws, along with excellent interpersonal skills to build client relationships.
Duties
Advise clients on estate planning, including wills, trusts, and healthcare directives. Draft estate planning documents tailored to client needs. Conduct client consultations and collaborate on tax minimization strategies. Handle trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings. Stay current on changes to estate, gift, and inheritance tax laws. Coordinate with financial advisors and other professionals. Support clients with gifting strategies and charitable planning. Handle guardianship and conservatorship matters as needed. Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active bar membership in Oregon and/or Washington. 3-5 years of experience in estate planning and administration. Strong drafting and analytical skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to estates and trusts. Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities. Ability to manage multiple client matters independently. LL.M. in Taxation or CFP designation is a plus. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active bar membership in Oregon and/or Washington. Skills
