Job Description:
This individual will write CMM programs and inspect products using PC-DMIS software or similar tools for inspecting parts, components, tools, gages, etc., in accordance with GD&T and customer dimensional requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Write and edit CMM programs to check manufactured parts and components.
Ensure CMM programs are generated correctly and meet customer requirements.
Read CAD files, blueprints, data, manuals, operation instructions, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, or measuring instruments required for inspection.
Train and assist CMM operators and other programmers on CMM inspection processes.
Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues with CMMs as needed.
Address issues with existing programs through troubleshooting.
Participate in review processes to identify potential problems before program creation.
Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.
Requirements:
Experience operating and troubleshooting CMMs using PC-DMIS software.
Advanced knowledge of PC-DMIS operation.
Proficiency in math, including advanced algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
Knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T.
HS Diploma or equivalent with documentation.
Minimum 5 years of CMM inspection experience and/or 3 years of CMM programming experience.
Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s) with documentation.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for processing and communicating information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Pre-employment drug testing required due to safety-sensitive nature of the role.
Preferred Experience:
Formal courses in blueprint reading/GD&T.
Formal training in PC-DMIS programming.
Experience with programming in PC-DMIS software preferred.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
The role requires standing, using hands, reaching, moving throughout the facility, and communication. Work is primarily in an office environment with computer use (75% of the day). Must frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The environment may be loud, and use of PPE is required. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities. Must work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with accountability.
