Reporting to the Head of People and Strategy, this leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR at the site level. The Human Resources Manager will deliver both strategic guidance and hands-on support across core functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training and development, compliance, benefits, and labor relations. You’ll partner closely with site leadership to align HR practices with business goals, promote a culture of engagement and accountability, and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and North Carolina-specific employment regulations, including ADA, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA, and right-to-work provisions. What You’ll Do As the Human Resources Manager at IFAB Corp, you’ll lead and continuously improve the human resources function at the North Carolina site. You’ll be responsible for implementing compliant, efficient, and people-centered HR practices that support plant operations and employee success. HR Operations & Administration Maintain and enhance HRIS and personnel records, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards and audit requirements. Generate reports, metrics, and workforce analytics to support site leadership and company-wide reporting. Lead the documentation, communication, and continuous improvement of HR processes and standard operating procedures. Compliance & Policy Ensure ongoing compliance with all federal, state (North Carolina), and local employment laws and regulations, including ADA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA requirements. Maintain and regularly update HR policies and the employee handbook, ensuring accessibility and alignment with equity and inclusion standards. Monitor legislative updates in North Carolina and adjust policies or procedures accordingly. Coordinate responses to NC Division of Employment Security (DES) for unemployment claims and NC Industrial Commission regarding workers’ compensation. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Develop and lead proactive recruitment strategies to attract top talent for hourly, skilled trades, and salaried roles. Manage the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring a welcoming and compliant experience for new hires. Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and ensure fair and consistent hiring practices, including E-Verify compliance for work authorization. Employee Relations & Engagement Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for employee concerns, providing fair, confidential, and legally sound resolution strategies. Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-conscious workplace culture through communication, recognition, and engagement initiatives. Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and consistent application of policies. Conduct and document investigations into workplace concerns in alignment with legal and internal standards. Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Administer company benefits programs and serve as primary liaison with benefit providers and brokers. Identify opportunities for cost savings and plan optimization in health, retirement, benefit offerings. Support accurate, timely payroll processing and HRIS data entry, including job changes, wage adjustments, and time tracking audits. Coordinate and ensure proper administration of annual performance reviews, merit increases, and incentive plans. Performance, Training & Development Lead the site’s performance management cycle, including coaching managers through evaluations, feedback delivery, and development planning. Support and guide managers through progressive discipline processes, performance improvement plans, and offboarding. Deliver training to employees and site leaders on HR policies, workplace standards, and leadership expectations. Mentor and develop HR support staff and build HR capacity across plant functions. What You’ll Bring Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) strongly preferred. Work Experience Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting. Experience with IATF a plus. Deep knowledge of North Carolina employment law, including right-to-work provisions, NC DES claims process, workers’ compensation (NCIC), and state-specific wage and hour regulations. Demonstrated experience with EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, AAP, OFCCP, and labor law compliance. Experience supporting or managing union avoidance or labor relations efforts is a strong asset. Proven ability to lead complex employee relations cases and HR investigations with professionalism and fairness. Strong familiarity with HRIS and ATS platforms (preferably UKG); able to lead system improvements and drive adoption. Experience with temporary foreign worker documentation and compliance (H-2B, TN, or similar) is a plus. Seniority level
