Position Summary Oversees the management and facilitates production, projects, and quality within Customer IPS engagements. Ensures Customer’s expectations are met by managing activities and complying with contractual obligations. Provides on-site support, training, and communication to contracted facilities sterile processing department management and personnel. Ensures SPD compliance with the Department of Health, JC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, and AORN standards and facility policies and procedures. 100% domestic travel required.
Duties LEADERSHIP
Develops and manages an engaged team to provide excellent service that meets Customer needs and contractual obligations.
Focuses on continuous improvement, engaging and coaching team members.
Hires, trains, coaches, and disciplines employees to meet company and Customer objectives.
Builds and maintains a culture of Employee Engagement and Retention through communication and ongoing training.
Utilizes staffing tools and communicates staffing needs and adjustments to Customer.
CUSTOMERS
Ensures delivery of Customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conducts regular meetings to review quality metrics.
Mentors front-line leadership in building relationships with Customer service coordinators.
Develops higher-level relationships within the Customer organization, including OR Managers, Directors, and V.P.s.
Resolves client issues promptly and efficiently.
Supports Customer leadership with education and training on contracted services.
OPERATIONS/PROCESSES
Understands and implements STERIS standard processes, holding the team accountable.
Ensures compliance with all relevant standards and policies.
Maintains accuracy of administrative documents and functions.
Manages an operating budget within financial constraints.
Uses STERIS tools to identify deficiencies and creates Corrective Action Plans.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of leadership experience in SPD or related field, or High School diploma with 8+ years of SPD experience and 5+ years in a leadership role.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (4+ years).
Experience in process management and quality control (3+ years).
Active certification in sterile processing via CBSPD or HSPA, or obtain within 12 months of hire.
Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and ability to travel across the US.
Pass background and medical standards for credentialing.
Preferred Experience
Experience with instrument tracking software and employee management systems (1+ year).
Knowledge of medical instruments and sterile processing operations (1+ year).
Experience using KPI data for department management (1+ year).
Skills Pay range: $78,500 - $109,987.50. Eligible for bonus. Compensation based on experience, education, certifications, etc. STERIS offers comprehensive benefits.
