The Substation P&C Designer will report to the P&C Design Group lead and will perform design tasks under the supervision of higher level Engineers, Designers, or the Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will apply basic design principles to produce design deliverables and assists in equipment or material selection or specification based on job requirements. Responsibilities include: Develop and/or assist in the development of general arrangements, equipment plans, elevations, sections, control house layouts, grounding design, conduit and cable design, creation of bills of materials, and cable schedules utilizing Microsoft Office, AutoCAD software. Perform electrical P&C design for substations ranging from 4kV to 500kV. Work in a project team environment with engineers and other designers involved in high and extra-high voltage substations. Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables. Properly apply client's substation design standards to the work. Self check own work before submitting to quality review team. Work on multiple projects concurrently.
