Our client is currently seeking to hire several high-performing Project Managers to work on cold & food storage projects in the Midwest & Southwest Regions. This partnership client is a Top 20, Nationally rated ENR Design Build General Contractor headquartered out of Chicago, established for almost 100 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a premier builder to lead significant, high-profile cold food storage facility construction projects in these regions. These roles are open to relocators and Traveling Project Managers.

Your new role In this critical role, you’ll oversee the planning, design coordination, execution, and closeout of cold storage construction projects—ensuring they meet exacting temperature controls, safety standards, client expectations, and delivery timelines. Manage all phases of cold food storage construction projects including pre-construction, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics Collaborate with Architects, Refrigeration Engineers and trades to integrate cold chain infrastructure and temperature-controlled design Lead client meetings, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure compliance with food safety and energy efficiency regulations Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to specs and timely problem resolution Travel fairly extensively to manage multiple project sites across the region
What you'll need to succeed Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial construction, with at least 2 years in refrigerated or cold food storage projects Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, insulated panel installation, vapor barriers, and energy-efficient build-outs Proven track record in managing large-scale, fast-track construction projects while traveling Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills What you'll get in return The opportunity to join an employee-owned company committed to building complex and high-performing structures that serve communities nationwide and take the lead in delivering state-of-the-art cold food storage environments that keep supply chains safe and sustainable.
Base salary up to $180k depending on your skill set & experience Enrollment in the company bonus plan, based on profitability and project performance Potential sign-on bonus 3 weeks starting PTO plus 5 sick days, 2 personal days, 7 paid holidays & 2 floating holidays Comprehensive medical, dental & vision plans including spouse/children 401k + matching % Travel policy covering your travel, return home location if required and expenses on-site
