The
Export Control and Trade Compliance Manager
supports sourcing, compliance, and legal teams to ensure adherence to international trade regulations, export controls, sanctions laws, and other legal requirements. This role promotes economic interests, risk management, market access, and global relations for Timken Gears & Services and Timken Motor Companies within Timken Power Systems. The position reports to the Senior Managing Counsel – Power Systems. Responsibilities
Manage global trade and contract compliance issues. Facilitate operational transactions for exports and imports. Classify products, including ECCN, HTS, COO, and jurisdictional classifications (EAR-ITAR), and handle government reporting. Participate in meetings and seminars to stay current on compliance tools and regulations. Manage due diligence processes with headquarters and assist with sales agreements. Support cybersecurity compliance and controlled unclassified information protection (a plus). Qualifications
Senior manager experience in trade and contract compliance. Understanding of trade compliance and conformance coordination across entities. Ability to analyze complex specifications and contracts. Excellent communication skills. Proven risk management and mitigation skills in a commercial environment. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects. Bachelor’s degree in business; paralegal degree a plus. Minimum of 15 years’ experience in contract review and risk mitigation. Additional Requirements
This role may require access to US export-controlled technical data and hardware under ITAR and EAR regulations. Eligible candidates include US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees, or others authorized for US export licenses. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. Employment Details
