Global banking institution seeks a bilingual Japanese VP for Regulatory Reporting Analysis Department in the New York Branch.

Responsibilities:

Prepare FR Y-7, FR Y-6 reports and different state abandoned property reports and liaise with various internal departments to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Get involved in the preparation of other branches regulatory reports. Interact and work closely with the Legal Department and FR Y-10 Preparation Team to address all structural changes that relate to the FR Y-7 and FR Y-6 reports. Continue to improve the process control effectiveness of the FR Y-7, FR Y-6 reports, and other branches regulatory reports preparation. Act as a liaison between Tokyo Head office and Regulatory Reporting Analysis team for all the request assignments related to regulatory reports. Act as the main preparer and coordinator to collect Bank’s world-wide US treasury securities data to report into the Ad-hoc Large Position Report that is issued by Federal Reserve Bank. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all regulatory reports. Respond to FRB inquiries related to structural changes in the organization in a timely manner. Support/participate in regulatory reporting examinations, internal and external audits. Conduct periodic review of new entities to ensure completeness and compliance to the reporting requirements of the FR Y-7 and FR Y-6 reports. Keep abreast of all regulatory guideline changes. Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication in Japanese and English as well as possess strong analytical abilities. Be able to manage and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge and working experience in the preparation of the FR Y-7, FR Y-6 and FR Y-10 regulatory reporting requirements. Knowledge and understanding of branches regulatory reporting. Regulatory compliance background is a plus. Minimum of 7-10 years knowledge and experience in the preparation of regulatory reports of financial institutions. Strong knowledge of financial products such as derivatives, repo, securities, loans and leases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English. Excellent interpersonal skills and good analytical skills. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA or CFA is a big plus.
