Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription: We are seeking a highly organized and driven

OSP Project Manager

to lead the end-to-end execution of fiber optic and utility infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for

owning the entire project life cycle , from initial site survey through design, permitting, construction, splicing, and final closeout. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of OSP workflows and takes accountability for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Lifecycle Ownership

Manage all phases of the OSP project including:

Site Surveys & Scoping

Coordinate field walks and assess constructability. Design Coordination

Work closely with design teams to validate route plans and engineering packages. Permitting Oversight

Track, submit, and follow up on local, state, and utility permits. Construction Management

Lead scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and in-field execution (trenching, boring, handholes, fiber placement, etc.). Splicing & Testing

Ensure fiber splicing is executed to spec and final test results meet acceptance criteria. Closeout Documentation

Oversee as-built collection, redlines, punch lists, and final package delivery.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Supervise internal crews and subcontractors; foster a proactive communication loop between field, design, and permitting teams. Budget & Schedule Control

Track project costs, change orders, and timelines. Proactively escalate and resolve delays or budget risks. Quality & Compliance

Enforce construction standards, safety policies, and jurisdictional requirements. Client & Stakeholder Communication

Maintain regular status updates and ensure project transparency with clients, municipalities, and internal stakeholders. Other Duties as Assigned Qualifications: 5+ years of experience managing OSP construction projects, preferably in fiber optics or telecom. Proven track record of managing full project life cycles Strong knowledge of permitting, underground utility construction, fiber splicing/testing. Experience with cloud-based GIS tools is a plus Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering prints, and splice documentation Working Conditions Ability to accept periodic assignments that involve travel away from immediate district office area based on client needs, business needs, and project scope. Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; chemicals & solvents; mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards. General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. But the ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required. Regional travel required. Must be able to work in the United States.
