Position Description Account Managers serve as the key contact between PIMCO and our financial intermediary clients and financial advisors. Their objective is to build and develop distribution relationships within the target market. PIMCO Latin America is seeking to hire an Account Manager to enhance relationships and support growth within the Latin America region with a focus on offshore financial advisors in Florida. The position will be based in PIMCO’s Miami office and will report directly to the Head of Miami Offshore. An account manager in the Latin America global wealth management team is responsible for executing client-specific growth plans. Responsibilities include: Drive sales across the full spectrum of PIMCO investment solutions (Alts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs) by developing, maintaining, and deepening relationships with new and existing advisors; influence advisor choices using a consultative sales process.

Travel and maintain active presence within territory to conduct one-on-one advisor sales calls, conduct client events, and deliver group presentations, including continuing education/training.

Build relationships with senior individuals within client organizations in order to source opportunities across the suite of PIMCO investment solutions

Manage firm resources (e.g., partnering with PIMCO product and portfolio managers) in order to generate new sources of revenue and to expand existing business relationships.

Contribute to the broader team and firm by sharing client and sales insights, and best practices

Position Requirements 5+ years of experience in selling/business development activities, preferably with a focus on financial advisors, private banks, high net worth clients, or other wealth management segments

Prior experience in wealth or asset management is preferred. Experience in dealing with global and complex, multi-faceted organizations

Focus on specific, ambitious goals, and demonstrate personal accountability and urgency for achieving results

Ability to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing to work within the firm’s demanding and highly focused environment

Enjoy working collaboratively across the organization in a team environment

Strong investment acumen; knowledge of, and passion for, financial markets, fixed income and investing

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus. Candidates who are not already charter holders will be encouraged to pursue the CFA designation.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field required.

MBA degree from an accredited, leading business school or university, or other equivalent Advanced Degree as it relates to the position is preferred

Series 7, 3, and 63 licenses or willingness to pursue within first 6 months of employment

Unassailable ethics and integrity

Fluent in both Spanish and English, fluency in Portuguese is not required but is a plus

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. Salary Range: $ 205,000.00 - $ 240,000.00
