Position Overview Sam's Club, one of the largest wholesale retailers in the country, is looking for a Creative Director to lead our business through exciting transformation. This is a unique opportunity for a creative leader to truly shape the future of our business and how our members engage with us. You’ll manage a team of external agency designers, writers, and content strategists across our Brand, eComm, or Private Brands team. If you're a proven Creative Lead with a portfolio of notable projects that demonstrate a mastery of design and technology and can be an effective manager who can understand the goals, inspire the team, and get the results, we want you to join our team.
What you'll do...
Manage a multidisciplinary group
of creatives, designers, writers, and content strategists. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
to define business goals, create strategies, and deliver outstanding creative work. Drive a strategic and conceptual approach
to improve our creative output and business impact. Bring new, innovative thinking
to our work. Operate as a leader , cultivating a strong team culture and inspiring creative excellence. Manage team priorities and workstreams
effectively. Foster a collaborative, agile, and innovative environment. Serve as a bridge
between the creative teams (both internal and external) and the business. Maintain and manage consistency
of our brand design and brand voice across digital experiences. Create an inclusive environment
where people can do their best work possible. What We’re Looking For 9+ years as a creative leader
at a digital agency or production company. Ideally
3+ years brand-side creative experience
working in-house for iconic, global brands. Bachelor’s degree
in a relevant field such as Design, Marketing, or equivalent experience. Strong portfolio
of outstanding creative work across a variety of brands. A highly-respected creative expert
with a demonstrated knowledge of visual craft, storytelling, and application of technology. A people manager
with 3-5 years experience managing interactive and digital creative teams and external creative partners. Working knowledge
of all design apps from Adobe to Figma. A user-first approach
to understanding how to reach audiences and users through digital experiences. An operational leader
who can achieve strong performance from their teams and vendor partners. An inspiring communicator
that builds trust and influences alignment of our creative vision across internal and external stakeholders. Location This position is based in Bentonville, AR and is eligible for relocation assistance. In-Office Statement Be part of the action!
Our creative energy thrives best when we're collaborating in person. This role is based in Bentonville and requires an in-office presence 5 days a week.
