Marana Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice to join the Integrated Care Team at the Ortiz Community Health Center, located in Tucson, Arizona. The Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice promotes and maintains patients’ health by providing medical services to all age groups within the scope of licensure and certification. The FNP uses independent judgment in carrying out daily responsibilities. The position is supervised by the Chief Clinical Officer. Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 15 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Qualifications Required:
Family Nurse Practitioner master's degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice, with an active license to practice in Arizona.
Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Master’s degree (MSN) from an accredited nursing school, with at least 1 year of recent Primary Care or Family Practice experience.
Candidates without an MSN but with current Nurse Practitioner certification, grandfathered in prior to the master's degree requirement, and relevant hands-on experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an FQHC or Primary Health Care environment.
Equivalent education and experience may be considered if directly related to the role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective presentation and documentation skills for diverse patient populations.
Ability to respond to questions from healthcare team members and leadership.
Sensitivity to low-income and ethnic minority communities.
Ability to quickly adapt to new concepts, trends, and initiatives.
Strong customer service skills and professional representation.
Decision-making aligned with regulations.
Ability to read, understand, and analyze documents, regulations, and policies.
Proficiency in preparing and submitting complete documentation.
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive primary care under supervision.
Follow evidence-based guidelines for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.
Identify patient care issues and recommend actions.
Refer patients to specialists as needed.
Collaborate with other providers.
Develop and implement treatment plans for continuity of care.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
Provide health maintenance services across all ages.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications.
Follow up with patients via various communication methods.
Document all patient interactions accurately.
Promote wellness and provide health education.
Perform outpatient procedures within scope.
Attend CME conferences to maintain licensure.
Participate in community health activities.
Ensure proper documentation in all patient records.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
