. Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (FGP). In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures; maintaining departmental standards in accordance with Policies and Procedures, and staying up-to-date on new techniques and procedures. This position works under limited supervision, independently performing Nuclear Medicine testing. Work situations require a service-oriented individual. Procedures performed require independent judgment, initiative, ingenuity, and strict adherence to radiation safety management guidelines. Job Responsibilities:

Performs other duties as assigned. Operates hospital and radiology information systems related to nuclear medicine, demonstrating knowledge of hospital and radiology information systems. Selects appropriate patient information from HIS/RIS system in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Accesses patient information; schedules exams; manages appointment times, exam types, patient reports, etc. Follows departmental HIS/RIS procedures and protocols to verify and process orders correctly. Effectively assesses patients' information and status, following appropriate procedures accordingly. Uses standard procedures to identify the correct patient. Reviews requisitions and understands the required exam, consulting with medical staff when necessary. Follows accepted radiologic procedures, using medical information to determine the appropriate protocol for each examination. Consults policy and procedure manuals as needed. Follows special instructions and recognizes the need for and follows isolation precautions. Independently implements patient procedures according to departmental protocols. Explains procedures and equipment clearly to patients. Solves problems during examinations using technical knowledge and innovation. Adjusts examinations based on patient conditions and consults with other technologists about previous approaches. Demonstrates skill in equipment setup, utilization, and maintenance. Performs visual and manual quality control checks of Nuclear Medicine equipment, including monitors used for routine image reading. Uses imaging and peripheral equipment safely and effectively, reporting any malfunctions or damages. Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology required. Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) recognized program required. Certification/registration in Nuclear Medicine (or eligibility) by NMTCB or ARRT required. Preferred Licenses:

Nuclear Med Tech Cert (NMTCB) Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology preferred. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Qualified candidates must be able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Know Your Rights: Workplace discrimination is illegal . Salary range: $106,212 - $118,232.40 annually, depending on experience, education, and hospital needs. This range does not include bonuses or additional compensation.
