LOB Specific Summary:
This role supports critical Merchant Services Authorization applications like GPX, TokenM, MCP, FFE, Phantom, TIER, and its network infrastructure. Providing front-line support to end users, responding to issues related to incidents and problem management governance for multiple applications, and leading triage activities on all business impacting incidents. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with incident management and problem management policies and procedures, serving as a focal point for the customer, client, and associate experience, restoring complex production incidents under tight Service Level Agreements, and pursuing root cause and problem resolution with respect to Application Infrastructure.

This role involves working on the least complex technical designs that enable business strategies, following architectural governance, standards, and policies. It facilitates deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks, and automation during implementation, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency. Embracing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement is expected.
Responsibilities:
Provides subject matter expertise and consulting on various technologies, contributing to the technology strategy and providing feedback to architecture teams.
Follows reference models, blueprints, and playbooks to ensure design compliance.
Helps translate business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment, ensuring adherence to standards and policies.
Supports Technical Analysts by ensuring system design solutions comply with enterprise standards.
Develops software solutions to automate manual, repetitive, or inefficient processes.
Supports an inclusive and healthy work environment.
Leads production support triage, manages troubleshooting, conducts technical research, and escalates issues when necessary.
Ensures impacts are documented, updates system records, and maintains documentation on application flows and outage impacts.
Identifies business impacts through monitors, dashboards, and logs, communicating findings to leadership and vendors.
Manages incident root cause analysis, resolution, preventative actions, and change requests, ensuring data quality in incident reports.
Enforces production governance, identifies failure scenarios, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
Serves as a subject matter expert on applications within a portfolio, leveraging extensive knowledge of functionalities and flows.
Prioritizes research requests, ad hoc reports, and offline incidents, delegating tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Strong understanding of AI technology and experience in building AI tools.
At least 2 years’ experience in the payment technology industry with knowledge of Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Heroku.
2 years’ experience working in a production environment with change management, with skills in Java, Oracle, Linux, SQL, and Splunk.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, and Interscope.
2 years’ experience automating reports using Shell or Python scripts.
Desired Qualifications:
3-5 years’ experience in J2EE, Spring, Microservices, Unix/Linux scripting, and understanding of database terminologies.
3-5 years in a payment production environment, triaging critical merchant issues, with knowledge of file transfer protocols, change protocols, and transaction flows.
3+ years’ experience with Microsoft tools and Ruby on Rails.
