The Surgical Service Section of the Reno VA Medical Center is seeking a Thoracic Surgeon to provide outpatient and inpatient thoracic surgical care. Responsibilities include assessing, stabilizing, and managing patients with thoracic conditions, both emergent and elective, in accordance with medical staff policies. Key Duties
Evaluate and treat thoracic emergencies across various hospital settings. Deliver high-quality outpatient care within clinical privileges. Maintain clinical excellence and efficiency in patient care. Ensure professional competency and provide necessary services. Participate in outpatient clinics, patient evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation. Collaborate with hospital departments such as Laboratory, Medicine, Radiology, and support services. Educational and Leadership Responsibilities
Contribute to teaching programs for the University of Nevada, School of Medicine, including students, residents, and trainees from various disciplines. Provide training and guidance to support staff, adhering to clinical standards and protocols. Additional Information
