Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Build strategic data models to incorporate regulatory, reporting, asset management, and business functions for several Loans Products transacted by the firm. Specify the conceptual, logical, and persistence specifications of the model to enable standardized user interaction and storage of the data. Define Validations on the Loan Product Models to enable exception capture, data steward curation and remediation, and improved data quality on the Loan products. Define mappings to transform and transport data from upstream operational to downstream reporting data stores. Create and manage Mappings and Views on the data to facilitate entitlement-controlled business temporal access of data from the lake for reporting, control, and regulatory requirements. Use testing frameworks to create unit and regression tests of the model, mapping, and view definitions. Assist with migrating data from legacy stores to the new stores and data models conforming to the Enterprise Model Definitions of the Loan products. Liaise with Data Engineering, Data Governance, and Datalake teams in the build out of the data Models and other frameworks to deliver data quality, transparency, controls, and management. Gather model requirements through a discovery process from various stakeholders including the Desk, Analytics, Servicing and Settlement Operations, Regulatory Operations, Desk Strats, Regulatory Strats, Control functions, and other Engineering teams and conform to Enterprise Data Modelling standards. Supervise delivery through complex UATs spanning these teams to ensure requirements are met. Build and manage strong working relationship with various stakeholders to ensure complex, and often conflicting requirements across teams are captured and expressed in a meaningful and non-ambiguous way.
Job Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field. Two (2) years of experience with a Master’s degree or Five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in the job offered or in a related software development role. Must have two (2) years of experience with a Master’s degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree with the following: Using SQL to create analytic, reporting, and investigative queries against various RDBMS databases such as Sybase IQ or DB2; Operational stores, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes, at an Enterprise scale; and working with Unix or Linux Shells. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Building conceptual, logical, and physical data models leveraging Entity-Relationship concepts, UMLs, and tooling such as ERWIN or Legend; Working with Big data using platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or others; and scripting using Shell scripting (Bash or other) and Python.
Salary Range: The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $164,000 – $180,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
