Audit Manager– Data Analytics

JCW is currently partnering with a regional banking client in New York City that is enhancing its Internal Audit function through advanced analytics and automation. They're seeking an experienced Audit Manager – Data Analytics & AI to help lead this transformation. This is a high-impact role that reports directly into senior audit leadership and plays a key part in embedding data-driven strategies across the audit lifecycle. Role Overview: The Audit Manager will be responsible for developing and executing audit analytics initiatives across key areas of the bank. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for audit teams leveraging data, and you’ll guide how the bank uses technology, analytics, and AI to assess and manage risk more effectively. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver data analytics and automation solutions to support internal audit engagements Develop and implement AI-enabled tools to support continuous monitoring and risk assessment Act as a strategic advisor to audit teams on how to integrate data into planning and execution Collaborate with cross-functional teams (risk, compliance, IT) to ensure data consistency and quality Build dashboards, scripts, and repeatable tools to improve audit insights and coverage Present findings and analytics strategy to senior audit leadership and business stakeholders Stay informed on emerging technologies, data privacy, and regulatory trends Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in internal audit, risk, or analytics, ideally in a banking or financial services environment Hands-on expertise in tools such as Python, SQL, R, Power BI, Tableau, or ACL Familiarity with AI/ML applications and their risks in financial services Proven ability to drive audit innovation and deliver scalable data solutions Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership Preferred certifications: CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA, or data/technology-related designations Tom Meberg works with Audit Professionals for leading companies across the country.
