sector is looking for a
Manager Programs 2
to support the Global Tactical Operating Unit in
Linthicum, MD . The primary objective will be to lead the sustainment efforts, ensuring all contractual requirements regarding cost and schedule are met, achieving all technical requirements, managing work scope, and creating customer intimacy. What You'll Get to Do: Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). Primary responsibilities include: Directing all phases of programs from inception through completion.
Acting as primary customer contact for program activities, supporting program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Cultivating customer relationships to develop further opportunities.
Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders.
Leading and directing cross-functional teams to meet program objectives.
Coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, and operating budgets.
Development of and adherence to budget baselines using cost control methodologies.
Identifying, allocating and managing program resources.
Managing Government supplied property or information.
Managing suppliers to meet program objectives.
Ensuring program team adheres to contract scope and manages change.
Conducting risk & opportunity management practices.
Measuring and reporting program performance.
Participating in contract negotiations.
Adherence to all internal processes and applicable industry standards.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience supporting U.S. Government contracts.
Experience leading tasks on schedule, at cost, achieving all requirements.
Program, operations, or project management experience.
Experience supporting proposal efforts.
Demonstrated success leading teams to achieve a common goal.
Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing government property inventories.
Experience supporting repair efforts.
Salary Range:
$149,400 - $224,000 Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Northrop Grumman provides various benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
