Threat Prevention Product Governance and Compliance team
is in search of a
Senior Proxy Infrastructure Engineer
to provide technical leadership to a team of senior security engineers responsible for recurring security assessments of the proxy (McAfee/Skyhigh) infrastructure. Will deliver technical consultation related to the data loss prevention (Vontu) and malware detection (FireEye) infrastructure in accordance with architectural governance, standards, and policies. Responsibilities: Serves as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes and contributes to the technology strategy for end-to-end engineering solutions and provides feedback to the architecture teams Translates business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies Participates in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains Leads the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose Mentors and guides team members to ensure system design technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers Manage multiple technical project engagements requiring the candidate to be a team player that can also work independently to manage multiple deadlines. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of recurring security assessments Interact with various levels of management, clients, and technical team members in delivering Threat Prevention technical solutions. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of proven experience in Network Security or CyberSecurity environments Extensive experience in Web Content filtering and Threat Prevention technologies McAfee/Skyhigh proxies, PAC files, reverse proxy, F5 GTM/LTM, F5 SSLO, FireEye malware detection, Vontu DLP, or similar solutions Knowledge of web connectivity and proxying technologies: WCCP, PAC files, reverse proxy Strong expertise in networking and network security protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, Socks, DNS, NTP, ANYCAST services, and others. Knowledge of authentication protocols such as Kerberos, LDAP, SSO, Active Directory Strong expertise reporting, searching, and or dashboarding data in Splunk. Must be able to communicate at different organizational levels including senior management to provide status updates, deliver requirements and report details at the correct level. Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets, databases, and reports with high attention to details and data accuracy. Experience with macro creation (VBA), automation and scripting using Python, Ansible or similar. Expertise in identifying inefficiencies in current processes and developing targeted strategies to streamline operations. Experience managing network or network security compliance, risk functions and/or audits. Desired Qualifications: B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent Proficient in cloud computing platforms (e.g., (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Proficiency in crafting clear, precise prompts for AI models like Copilot to generate accurate and actionable outputs to drive optimization. Proficiency in Jira, workflow tracking, with the ability to leverage its features to enhance team collaboration and streamline operational tasks At least one professional level certification in Web Content filtering technologies, Network Security or Networks such as CCNA Security, CCNP, BCCPA, BCCPP, CISSP, CCSP, CEH Skills: Adaptability Business Acumen Production Support Solution Design Stakeholder Management Automation Influence Innovative Thinking Solution Delivery Process Technical Strategy Development Collaboration Result Orientation Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
