Job DescriptionJob Description Threat Prevention Architect Location: Hybrid Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC Contract: 12+ Months (W2 only) Employment Type: Contract Industry: Financial Services Were hiring on behalf of a nationally recognized enterprise client thats seeking a Threat Prevention Architect to lead the design and evolution of its threat prevention infrastructure. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on security architect who thrives at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution. In this position, youll define secure network connectivity models and inspection systems to prevent malware, data loss, and emerging threats. Youll also influence vendor roadmaps, collaborate with internal business leaders, and develop solutions that balance strong security with operational efficiency. What Youll Do Architect and evolve advanced threat prevention solutions, including proxies, malware prevention, and DLP systems. Develop and communicate strategic security roadmaps aligned with business needs and emerging threats. Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor to engineering and security teams. Interface with senior leadership and external vendors to influence security technology direction. Create detailed architecture diagrams and executive-level summaries for key initiatives. What You Bring Required Expertise in One or More Areas: Web proxies (Skyhigh/McAfee, BlueCoat) Malware prevention (Trellix, FireEye) SASE platforms (Netskope, Palo Alto, Zscaler) SSL offloading (F5) Data loss prevention (Vontu or similar) Additional Qualifications: Deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IPS, load balancers, and core networking. Strong skills in TCP/IP analysis and packet inspection. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience creating high-quality technical documentation and diagrams. Familiarity with cryptographic protocols, SSL certificates, and hardware security modules (HSM).
