Womens Health Surgical Advanced Practice Provider

Description Summary: The Women's Health Surgical Advanced Practice Provider will work primarily in the hospital providing clinical coverage for Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, and the Emergency Department. This position supports OBGYN physicians and midwives on these units and provides surgical first assist coverage for OB and GYN surgeries. The role may be filled by a Certified Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant with women's health specialty training. Responsibilities: Postpartum rounding on mothers and babies on the Mother/Baby unit Performing newborn circumcisions prior to discharge Surgical first assist for obstetric and gynecologic surgeries Serving as first call for emergency department women’s health consults Serving as first call for obstetric triage patients on the Labor and Delivery unit Providing clinical support for physician procedures (cerclage, external cephalic versions, postpartum tubal ligations, etc.) Labor evaluation including cervical exams and patient assessments Placement of IUD and Nexplanon for contraception prior to discharge Other clinical assignments within scope of practice as needed Education:

Master's level degree in Women's Health or related field Preferred Skills:

Experience with history and physical exams, order writing, chaperoned pelvic exams including sterile speculum exams, POC microscopy, fetal monitor interpretation, non-stress tests, biophysical profiles, amniotic fluid index, bedside ultrasound, phlebotomy, IV placement, surgical assistance (e.g., C-section, D&C, postpartum tubal ligation), urinary catheter placement, telephone triage, and more. Salary Range:

$128,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience Location and Community:
