SMX . This position requires a DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship for work on DoD contracts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Review Division Chief or Deputy approved authorizations, amendments, and vouchers in DTS to ensure claimed expenses are in accordance with applicable law, policy, and regulation, including a complete review of the Line of Accounting (LOA), per diem amounts, travel itinerary, and other authorization details. Monitor SOJ3 Directorate travel budget daily to align spend plan and phasing with DTS travel authorizations, amendments, and vouchers, making adjustments as needed for efficient fund usage. Coordinate daily with SOJ8 (Comptroller) staff regarding DTS matters such as RFI/RFS, funding requests, and travel support for personnel. Update directorate spend plan and phasing for travel funds based on SOJ8 weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews. Provide expertise on DTS processes, including completing required training to oversee and manage DTS-related activities. Contribute to spend plan and phasing updates during the fiscal year using Excel and other documentation. Act as point of contact for DTS and travel funds with SOJ8, SOJ4, and other relevant entities. Recommend best practices for DTS workload management to improve oversight and efficiency. Assess DTS funds execution weekly, monthly, and quarterly, updating related documents to inform leadership of potential funding shortfalls or overages. Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience. At least 10 years of experience in DoD (preferably Navy) accounting and financial management, including familiarity with systems like SABRS, Navy ERP, SMARTS, WAWF, DTS, EDA, and others listed. Current DoD Secret clearance. Application deadline: August 29, 2025.
