Technical Support Engineer Remote - East Coast US Salary - $120,000-150,000 Series B PayTech About the Role Our client is seeking a Tier 4 Support Engineer to join their team. In this position, you’ll handle complex technical issues within production environments, collaborating closely with development teams, internal support teams, and external partners. You’ll take ownership of escalated cases end-to-end, provide expert technical consultation, monitor key financial applications, and enhance internal knowledge resources. This role also involves mentoring colleagues and becoming a subject matter expert in their financing flows, APIs, and integration processes. Key Responsibilities Investigate and resolve advanced technical cases arising in production environments Own technical escalations from initiation through to resolution Collaborate with development teams, support teams, business stakeholders, and external clients Deliver consultation and analysis to both technical and non-technical teams Monitor financial applications in production environments using technical tools Contribute to internal knowledge bases by documenting common issues and resolutions Mentor and support the development of other team members Develop deep expertise in the company’s financing flows, APIs, and integration points Requirements Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent experience 5+ years in similar technical support, engineering, or QA roles Background in software development or quality assurance (required) Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (required) Knowledge of databases (MongoDB) and data structures (required) Familiarity with REST API structures (a plus) Experience with technical troubleshooting, debugging tools, log analysis, and monitoring systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Elastic (required) Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments under pressure Strong written and verbal English communication skills Leadership capabilities with effective collaboration skills About You Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and a solutions-focused mindset Passionate about delivering high-quality client experiences Interested in financial services and fintech technologies across channels such as e-commerce and in-store Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within an international team Seniority level
