Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.The Warehouse Distribution Specialist plays a critical role in executing day-to-day warehouse operations within a fast-paced freight forwarding and logistics environment. This position is responsible for the accurate receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of cargo, including domestic and international freight. The Specialist ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and customer requirements while supporting overall supply chain flow and warehouse productivity. In addition to handling physical cargo movement, this role may assist with basic system updates, labeling, and documentation to support visibility and compliance standards. This individual serves as a key contributor to maintaining service reliability, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.**PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE 2 OPENINGS WITHIN THIS DEPARTMENT**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Process inbound and outbound shipments in compliance with customer SOPs and regulatory guidelines.Load, unload, sort, and stage cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other MHE (material handling equipment).Verify shipment accuracy against documentation (BOLs, packing lists, etc.); identify and report discrepancies.Apply labeling, scanning, and documentation procedures to support inventory accuracy and visibility.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse in accordance with safety and 5S standards.Follow all warehouse security protocols and ensure freight integrity during handling and storage.Conduct routine safety inspections on equipment and perform minor preventive maintenance as needed.Assist in physical inventory counts and cycle counts to support warehouse accuracy targets.Coordinate with customer service, transportation, and import/export teams to meet cutoffs and service commitments.Participate in special projects and cross-training opportunities as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent will not directly and/or indirectly supervise employees QUALIFICATIONS:Strong understanding of warehouse operations, freight handling, and cargo staging processes.Working knowledge of air and ocean freight documentation and handling practices a plus.Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with scanning devices, warehouse systems, and Microsoft Office.High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow SOPs with minimal supervision.Dependable and punctual, with flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts based on operational needs.Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.Comfortable working in a deadline-driven, high-volume logistics environment.Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at all times.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED required.Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment, preferably in freight forwarding, 3PL, or contract logistics operations.Experience working with import/export freight and warehouse WMS systems is highly preferred.Familiarity with handling a variety of commodities, including palletized, crated, and loose freight.Forklift certification or ability to become certified (counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack).ENVIRONMENT:This role is 100% performed in a warehouse environment, with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and moderate-to-loud noise levels from industrial equipment.The employee must regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and carry items up to 25 pounds. Use of hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls is required. For this position, the hourly payrate range is $19-21/HR, depending on qualifications and experience.
