Job Summary
The
Data Governance and Analytics Senior Manager
is responsible for ensuring there is data quality, security and compliance while also data availability to drive insights and support decision-making for the North America segment of Huhtamaki.
This senior-level position demands a comprehensive understanding of business processes, data management, and project management skills and requires collaboration with various functions within the segment, including commercial, finance, sourcing, manufacturing, and more. The role involves establishing governance and leading teams to manage process and data requirements, supporting Global Process Owners (GPOs) & Master Data Management (MDM) team, and driving change management activities related to data initiatives. This role reports to the SVP, Finance/IT for North America with strong collaboration and dotted line reporting with the Global Data & Analytics team.
Key Responsibilities
Data Quality Monitoring and Improvement: Actively monitor global process and data quality KPIs. Prioritize initiatives to address data quality gaps and improvements. Ensure the segment leadership team is informed of current data quality issues and improvement strategies. Actively monitor data quality and address any deviations from established standards. Data Analytics: Support the data analysis and decision making needs of the segment by ensuring data is available and managed effectively in alignment with business needs. Interface with the segment functional leadership teams to understand decision making requirements, connect data to those requirements and address any gaps. Team and Process Management: Lead a team of Master Data Management (MDM) stewards to support data quality efforts and processes. Collaborate within the segment, along with the technical data analysts, to manage process and data requirements to effectively support business decision making Implement global processes and data standards within the segment Ensure the implementation of data standards and MDM processes within the segment. Project and Change Management: Support GPOs and the global team by coordinating with the segment for necessary inputs as part of projects. Drive change management activities in the segment to support data initiatives and promote adoption. Share best practices across segments to enhance the Huhtamaki operating model. Process Design and Documentation: Assist in defining and documenting process designs and data standards for the segment. Ensure a feedback loop for continuous improvement in processes and standards for the segment.
Decision Rights And Accountabilities
Authority to prioritize initiatives aimed at addressing data quality gaps and improvements within the segment. Decision-making authority to establish and lead teams to manage process and data requirements effectively. Authority to ensure the implementation of global processes and data standards within the segment. Ability to drive change management activities and promote adoption of data initiatives within the segment. Accountable for initially driving data quality improvement initiatives and subsequently leading data projects within the segment. Responsible for ensuring the implementation of data standards and Master Data Management (MDM) processes within the segment. Accountable for establishing a feedback loop for continuous improvement in processes and standards. Accountable for supporting Global Process Owners (GPOs) and the global team in coordinating with the segment for necessary inputs as part of projects.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred. 7-10 years of experience in data management, business process management, or a related field, with specific experience in the packaging industry highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills for establishing and leading virtual teams; strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders. Strong understanding of data management principles and experience with data analysis tools; proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
