Key job responsibilities
Develop and implement the Federal Marketing strategy for driving demand with federal executive customers and Federal mission owners/decision makers, including demand generation campaigns and tactics (events, email, content), thought leadership, and awareness. Serve as the primary liaison between Federal Field Marketing and Global Executive Relations, focusing on integration of marketing and GER initiatives, reporting on activities and events, developing documents, and providing recommendations to Federal and PS Marketing leadership. Drive the development and deployment of marketing initiatives, as well as project management, performance metrics and business reporting for US Federal, including adjacent customers targeted by both Marketing and GER – Aerospace and Satellite, Global National Security and Defense, Financial Services Industry and International Organizations. Attend GER events, planning sessions and ancillary engagements to ensure ongoing coordination of initiatives and reduce overlap/saturation of efforts supporting US Federal revenue attainment. Work closely with stakeholders across Worldwide Public Sector, including marketing and sales colleagues and leadership teams to achieve business goals. Develop compelling audience-specific marketing products and tools including Public Sector blog posts to be used in support of demand generation and customer engagement activities for all lines of business in US Federal. Support the strategy and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, focused on key AWS priority solution themes and topics that are designed to drive demand. Coordinate activities of the Director, Public Sector Marketing to support executive demand generation, including schedule integration, on-site presence at priority internal and customer events. Support detailed operational and marketing reporting, including marketing contribution to sales revenue, priority customer account tracking, and other designated marketing metrics. Dive deep into data to provide visibility into marketing campaign results, measure campaign effectiveness, and inform decision making for optimized campaign strategies.
A day in the life
You will own coordination of marketing campaigns, marketing support activities and project management for Public Sector field marketing team integration and PS executive customer engagement, opportunity creation, and ongoing nurture. You will partner with enabling teams to develop, execute, and measure campaigns, thought leadership initiatives and content designed to attract and engage federal executives and senior decision makers. These efforts include Public Sector blog posts, executive outreach, and talking points/content. You will also be working alongside field marketers, operations, Global Lead Development and sales to monitor and report on marketing performance, with a focus on our federal executive customers. You will dive deep into marketing metrics and data, helping the US Federal business track and report on their progress, identify new opportunities, and create a clear picture of overall business performance. You will provide regular and ad hoc reporting to the Head of PS Federal Marketing and the Director of WWPS Field Marketing.

In Public Sector Field Marketing, our team supports AWS Federal and PS Sales through demand generation at scale, thought leadership and awareness. Our mission is to generate marketing sourced pipeline through customer demand, across the US Federal Government. We deliver results through a combination of bias for action and insisting on the highest standards. We work across the enabling teams, leveraging capabilities including Public Relations, Public Policy, digital and event marketing to reach our customers with the messaging, products and solutions to help them accomplish their most challenging missions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience - 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience - Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements - Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) - Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs - Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
