Position Description: The Metrics Business Analyst tracks, analyzes, and reports on inventory and asset data to provide actionable insights that support logistics operations.Minimum/General Experience: 3 years of experience supporting business management and analysisMinimum Education: Bachelors degree in business or related fieldEssential Skills/Qualifications:Strong experience gathering and interpreting business goalsStrong experience performing data analysis on inventory reports and database queries to support decision makingStrong experience evaluating data to support logistics business metrics developmentStrong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Access, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong ability to turn complex data into easy to understand graphs, charts, and tablesExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail skillsAbility to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationshipsAbility to collaborate and problem-solve in a team environmentGeneral Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment. Typing, communicating, repetitive motions. Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting. Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements. Security: Must have an active Secret security clearance to be considered; Ability to maintain a DoD ClearanceU.S. Citizenship DoD Clearance Consists of a review of up to but not limited to: Covers 10 year period and in some instances lifetime eventsOPM Security Investigations Index (SII)DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII)National Agency Check (NAC) recordsFBI name check FBI fingerprint checkCredit report checkA check of local law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction over the areas where the applicant has lived, worked, or attended schoolEducation check- Attendance and DegreesEmployment verification -may include interviews of supervisors and/or co-workersCorroboration of unemployment May include reference interviewsMay include interviews of the individual, former spouse (s)Confirmation of all residencesVerification of public record informationTasks/activities include, but are not limited to:Assists with the development of inventory and logistics objectives and drafting deliverable plansTranslates business goals into measurable key performance indicators (KPIs)Tracks ship part usage, inventory levels, and component movement across fleetsPerforms data analysis on reports and queries to create inventory performance metricsCreates graphs, charts, and tables to communicate inventory and logistics insights to support decision makingMonitors inventory trends and metrics to suggest changes and/or improvementsSupports the technical team with database process flowsReviews metric accuracy and consistency based on changing logistics needsPrepares PowerPoints on fleet logistics and inventory to present at high-level briefingsSupports communication between stakeholders and the technical team to clarify requirementsSupports recommendations on best practices for meeting business objectives based on metricsSupports the continuation of new requirements as business needs are discoveredCollaborates closely with the technical teamCompensation & Benefits: The annual projected pay range for this position is $47,222.00 - $96,123.00 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.
