Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) credentials and at least 2 years of CT experience for hospital-based overnight shifts.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based CT department with shifts from 6:00pm to 6:30amScheduled for three 12-hour overnight shifts per week with every other weekend requiredDuties may include general diagnostic radiology exams in addition to CT scansPatient care includes preparing and positioning, administering IV contrast, and monitoring for reactionsUse of PACS and RIS for imaging and documentationPossible floating to a nearby sister hospitalNo on-call requiredMust complete and pass online modules onsite 1 week prior to start dateResponsibilities include explaining procedures, performing and documenting CT and diagnostic studies, and assisting radiologists with complex proceduresMust adhere to safety and radiation protection protocolsRTO requests must be submitted up front; any requests after offer require managerial discussionPhysical demands include occasional lifting and/or moving of equipment or patients greater than 10 lbsTravelers will be expected to report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitmentTeamwork, effective communication, and continuous customer service are expectedMust be prepared for potential exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
